I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas (1979), and taught 5th grade for 4 years before beginning a family. Since that time I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Goose Creek CISD, and most recently have worked with the City of Baytown Public Librarys "Families Learning Together" program.
